Home Care and Support Aa=menities About Us Why Choose Westerleigh Contact Us

We have a carefully selected team of highly skilled and qualified staff. We place special emphasis on training and retaining staff who are truly excellent in their role and are commited to meeting the individual needs of each Resident.

Our stable and experienced staff team is led by our Matron and Manager, Tracey Austin, assisted by her Deputy, Nikki Bishop, who is also a Registered Nurse. Our nursing and care staff work using a 'key worker' scheme, this helps provide continuity of care by providing a dedicated Health Care Assistant as the 'key worker' to support each Resident with personal and care-related tasks. Registered Nurses and care workers provide 24 hour specialised care, supporting our Residents health and well being and enabling them to live with the dignity and respect that they deserve.

We recognise that coming to live in a new environment of a Nursing Home is for most people a major change in their, and their family and friends, lives.

We strive to ensure that this is a positive transition, enabling Residents to live as independently as possible, with our assistance and support.

We recognise the right of Residents to make decisions about their day to day lives, and our responsibility to respect and promote their individual needs, diversity and wishes.

Feedback really matters to us, we have a listening and learning culture here at Westerleigh and it is how we learn what we can do better or differently to the benefit of Residents and staff.

We welcome comments, concerns and complaints, as we see them as an opportunity to improve, and positively handled these will help improve the quality of care for everyone. There is a Westerleigh Concerns and Complaints Policy displayed in the hall at the home, and this give details of external organisations, including the Care Quality Commission (CQC), who are the regulator who monitors, inspects and regulates care services to make sure they continue to meet the fundamental standards.
